LOCAL FIRST PARTNERED WITH LA PLATA COUNTY COLORADO TO ADMINISTER SMALL BUSINESSRELIEF PROGRAM (SENATE BILL 20B-001) IN ORDER TO PROVIDE DIRECT RELIEF PAYMENTS TOELIGIBLE SMALL BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFITS LOCATED IN LA PLATA COUNTY IN OPERATION SINCE MARCH 16, 2020 WITH 50 FTE EMPLOYEES OR FEWER. GRANTS OF $10,000 OR LESS WERE PROVIDED TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES LOCATED IN THE COUNTY IMPACTED BY COVID-19. DURING 2021 LOCAL FIRST HAS HELPED ADMINISTER OVER $426,000 IN PANDEMIC-RELIEFFUNDING TO APPROXIMATELY 93 BUSINESSES AND NONPROFITS IN LA PLATA COUNTY

WE PULLED TOGETHER KEY STAKEHOLDERS IN ORDER TO FORM THE DURANGO CREATIVE DISTRICT TO SUPPORT AND BUILD A CREATIVE ECONOMY AND LAUNCHED THE SOUTHWEST HEALTH ALLIANCE TO INCREASE HEALTH LITERACY AND REDUCE INSURANCE PREMIUMS FOR BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS TO KEEP HEALTHCARE DOLLARS RECIRCULATING LOCALLY AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL, INDEPENDENT BUSINESS COMMUNITY, INCLUDING HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS.
