MACKINTOSH ACADEMY (THE ACADEMY, WE, US, OUR) OPENED IN 1977 AS THE FIRST PRIVATE ACADEMY IN COLORADO TO RECOGNIZE THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF GIFTED AND TALENTED CHILDREN. COMMITTED TO PROVIDING THE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY A RICH RESOURCE FOR GIFTED CHILDREN, WE HAVE TWO CAMPUSES: OUR FIRST CAMPUS LOCATED ON THREE ACRES IN SOUTH LITTLETON, COLORADO, SERVING 130 STUDENTS; AND OUR BOULDER, COLORADO, CAMPUS, ESTABLISHED IN 2011 AND LOCATED ON TWENTY THREE ACRES, SERVING 169 STUDENTS. WE STRIVE TO PROVIDE AN ENJOYABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GIFTED CHILD. OUR GOAL IS TO MAXIMIZE LEARNING POTENTIAL AND PROMOTE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE CHILD, AS WELL AS TO FOSTER A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONE'S INDIVIDUAL TALENTS. WE ARE COMMITTED TO AN EXCITING ACADEMIC PROGRAM THAT EMPHASIZES THE CREATIVE ASPECTS OF GIFTEDNESS, ENGENDERS A PASSION FOR LIFE-LONG LEARNING AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY.
