THE MISSION OF MVMA IS TO BE THE INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PARTNER THAT INSPIRES LIFELONG STEWARDSHIP OF THE REGION'S CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE TO ASSURE THAT MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK IS PRESERVED AND PROTECTED FOR THE ENJOYMENT AND EDUCATION OF CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS. FROM THE ALLOCATION OF AID, THE PARK WAS ABLE TO IMPLEMENT AND PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF PROJECTS, EVENTS, AND TRAININGS. MEETING AND TRAVEL EXPENSES, AS WELL AS, STIPENDS AND HOUSING FOR INTERNS, WERE PROVIDED FOR THE COLLABORATIVE CHAPIN MESA MUSEUM EXHIBIT PROJECT. NEW EPISODES OF THE MESA VERDE VOICES PODCAST WERE RECORDED AND MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. SEVERAL RESOURCE PROJECTS WERE SUPPORTED INCLUDING; WORK TOWARDS AN INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY PARK APPLICATION AND, AN ORAL HISTORY PROJECT TO PRESERVE THE WORK OF THE CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS.
