Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS IN THE HOME BUILDING INDUSTRY, THEREBY ASSISTING IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SOCIAL, POLITICAL, AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS IN BOTH THE DENVER METROPOLITAN REGION AND THE STATE OF COLORADO.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
BUILDER AND MEMBER EVENT PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC FOR THE PURPOSE OF SHOWCASING THE MOST RECENT BUILDING TECHNIQUES AND PRODUCTS AVAILABLE IN THE INDUSTRY. THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC HAD A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE OPERATIONS OF THE METRO DENVER HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION IN 2020, PRIMARILY BY LIMITING THE NUMBER OF IN-PERSON PROGRAM EVENTS AND THE CANCELLATION OF MAJOR ANNUAL EVENTS THAT WOULD OTHERWISE CONTRIBUTE TO THE HBA'S BOTTOM LINE. THIS REDUCED BOTH PROGRAM REVENUE AND EXPENSE SIGNIFICANTLY FROM PRIOR YEARS AND ELIMINATED ANY PROFIT CONTRIBUTION ASSOCIATED WITH THESE EVENTS. AS A RESULT, THE HBA QUALIFIED FOR AN SBA EIDL GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000 AND AN SBA EIDL LOAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000. THE PPP LOAN WAS FORGIVEN IN 2021 AS THE PROCEEDS WERE USED FOR ELIGIBLE PURPOSES.
