CUREGRIN AWARDED 3 GRANTS WORTH $446,323 IN THE FISCAL YEAR. THESE INCLUDE: 1) $200,000 TO RESEARCHERS AT UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND AND UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO TO VALIDATE BLOOD BIOMARKERS. 2) $146,332 TO RESEARCHERS AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON FOR GRIA DISORDER DRUG DISCOVERY AND 3) $99,992 TO COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY FOR GENE THERAPY TRIALS ON GRIN2A MICE.


AFTER YEARS OF COVID RELATED DELAYS, CUREGRIN HOSTED A THREE-DAY CONFERENCE IN BOSTON. MORE THAN 300 FAMILIES, RESEARCHERS, CLINICIANS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE BIOPHARM INDUSTRY PARTICIPATED, INCLUDING OVER 230 IN-PERSON ATTENDEES. THE CONFERENCE RECEIVED RAVE REVIEWS FROM BOTH FAMILIES AND RESEARCHERS. THE LARGEST EXPENSES WERE FOOD AND AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT. REVENUE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH REGISTRATION FEES AND SPONSORSHIPS.


CUREGRINS PROGRAMS FALL INTO TWO CATEGORIES. 1) IMPROVING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD LIVING WITH GRI DISORDERS (GRIN, GRIA, GRIK AND GRID), AND THEIR FAMILIES, THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND CONNECTIVITY. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE GRICONNECT, DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND THE FAMILY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM. 2) WORKING WITH SCIENTISTS, CLINICIANS AND THE BIOPHARM INDUSTRY TO DRIVE RESEARCH AND CURES. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE IN-HOUSE RESEARCH, GRI GENES ROUNDTABLE AND BIOPHARM ENGAGEMENT.
