TO PROVIDE A PIKES PEAK REGION-CENTRIC PHILANTHROPIC PLATFORM THAT MAKES GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY EASY, ENJOYABLE AND EFFECTIVE. TO PROVIDE PARTICIPATING NON-PROFITS WITH VALUABLE TRAINING, MEDIA EXPOSURE, VOLUNTEERS, BOARD DEVELOPMENT AND MUCH-NEEDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT. GIVE!'S FUNDRAISING WEBSITE MAKES IT EASY TO LEARN ABOUT, GET INVOLVED WITH, AND DONATE TO A HUGE VARIETY OF LOCAL NONPROFITS, AND OUR PRINT GIVE! GUIDE REACHES OVER 140,000 LOCALS AND READERS OF THE COLORADO SPRINGS INDEPENDENT, COLORADO SPRINGS BUSINESS JOURNAL, AND PIKES PEAK BULLETIN. WORKING WITH 20 LOCAL MEDIA PARTNERS, GIVE! PROVIDES MEDIA EXPOSURE WITH OVER 100 NONPROFIT STORIES FEATURED ON TV, RADIO AND IN PRINT IN 2020.GIVE! BUILDS CAPACITY OF NONPROFITS BY PROVIDING VALUABLE TRAINING IN FUNDRAISING AND MARKETING.IN 2020 GIVE! HELPED 78 LOCAL NONPROFITS RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THEIR WORK AND RAISED OVER $1.6 MILLION IN FINANCIAL SUPPORT WITH OVER 9,000 DONATIONS. SINCE 2009, GIVE! HAS ENABLED 248 LOCAL NONPROFITS TO RAISE MORE THAN $14.6 MILLION.
THIS PARTNERSHIP PROVIDED THE GENERAL COMMUNITY BENEFIT OF SUPPORTING LOCAL CAUSES THAT WERE SUPPORTED BY FOUNDATION GRANTS. ONE EXAMPLE IS THE PUBLISHING OF A COLORING BOOK ASSEMBLED BY WORK FROM LOCAL ARTISTS WHO LOST ALL OF THEIR REVENUE DURING THE PANDEMIC. FUNDS RAISED FOR THE COLORING BOOK AND OTHER PROJECT ACTIVITIES WERE COLLECTED IN A DEDICATED GIVE! CAMPAIGN BANK ACCOUNT. GIVE! PROVIDED MONTHLY PAYOUTS TO THE INDY OF DONATED FUNDS, AND THE INDY PROVIDED LINE ITEM REPORTS FOR WHICH EXPENSES WERE PAID WITH THOSE FUNDS. THE INDEPENDENT ACTED AS AN AGENT FOR GIVE! IN SETTING UP AND MANAGING THE ONLINE DONATION PLATFORM AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS FOR CHARITABLE DONATIONS AND GIFT RECEIPTS.
