TO EDUCATE YOUNG ADULTS IN CITIZENSHIP, TEAMWORK, AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP THROUGH ORGANIZED SWIMMING ACTIVITY. ADDITIONALLY, TO TEACH SKILLS OF SWIMMING TO THE PUBLIC AND TO CREATE AN AFFINITY FOR SWIMMING AS EXERCISE AND RECREATION.

OUR SWIM ACADEMY EXPANDED IN BOTH THE AMOUNT OF COURSES OFFERED AND THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS SERVICED. DURING 2021 WE INTRODUCED VARIOUS LEVELS AND A MORE DEFINED CURRICULUM INTO OUR SWIM ACADEMY. THIS CHANGE WAS DONE IN ORDER TO ENSURE WE WERE PROGRESSING THE SKILLS OF OUR YOUNG SWIMMERS.
DURING THE 2021 COMPETITION SEASON OUR USA SWIMMING CLUB, REBEL AQUATIC CLUB, EXPANDED TO SERVE 120 MEMBER FAMILIES. OUR ATHLETES TRAVEL FROM HUDSON, BERGEN, PASSAIC AND ESSEX COUNTIES TO TRAIN AND COMPETE AT OUR FACILITY. REBEL AQUATIC CLUB AND ITS ATHLETES EARNED NUMEROUS PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EASTERN ZONES QUALIFIERS, NEW JERSEY SWIMMING JUNIOR OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS, NEW JERSEY SWIMMING TOP AGE GROUP (AGES 9-10) SWIMMER & EASTERN ZONE TOP AGE GROUP (AGES 9-10) SWIMMER. WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE FUTURE AND OUR FUTURE SUCCESSES.
OVER 170 STUDENTS REGISTERED FOR LIFEGUARD TRAINING AT THE RUTHERFORD SWIM ASSOCIATION. OUR FACILITY AND HEAD INSTRUCTOR WERE CITED BY THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AS A LEADING LIFEGUARDING/CPR/AED EDUCATIONAL FACILITY. THE SKILLS TAUGHT AND LEARNED AT OUR FACILITY HELP TO ENSURE LIFEGUARDS ACROSS THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY ARE PREPARED TO ADDRESS EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
