IN THE ORGANIZATIONS FOURTH YEAR RECOGNIZED AS A 501(C)3 WE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:THE MISSION OF THE SPEAK UP, STAND UP, SAVE A LIFE CONFERENCE IS TO INSPIRE STUDENTS TO SPEAK UP, STAND UP AND SAVE A LIFE BY EMPHASIZING PEER INTERVENTION AND REPORTING: IF ONE STUDENT IS IN TROUBLE ANOTHER STUDENT NEEDS TO INTERVENE AND TELL A TRUSTED ADULT. IT ALSO SEEKS TO DISPEL THE STIGMA OF BEING A "SNITCHX OR A "TATTLETALE" BY INFORMING STUDENTS THAT REPORTING WARNING SIGNS CAN OFTEN PREVENT SCHOOL TRAGEDIES. BY CHANGING THEIR MINDSETS, THE CONFERENCE EMPOWERS STUDENTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND TAKE ACTIONS THAT COULD SAVE ANOTHER STUDENT'S LIFE.WE HOSTED OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW DUE TO CONTINUE COVID CONCERNS. WE HAD BETWEEN $5,000 AND $10,000 ATTENDEES, INCLUDING STUDENTS, VOLUNTEERS, COUNSELORS, FACILITATORS, LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, AND BUSINESSES WHO ALL UNITED TO MKAE A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF OUR YOUTH.WE REACHED OUT TO MORE THAN 200,000 STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
