THE ADVOCACY FUND ENGAGED IN ISSUE ADVOCACY AND GRASSROOTS COMMUNICATION EFFORTS IN SUPPORT OF LEGISLATIVE RENEWAL OF THE KNOWLES NELSON STEWARDSHIP FUND (KNSF). THIS INVOLVED CONTACTS WITH CONSTITUENTS OF KEY STATE LEGISLATORS URGING THEM TO CONTACT THEIR LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATIVE, PROVIDING INFORMATION IN SUPPORT OF KNSF, AND IN SOME CASES DIRECTLY CONNECTING THE CONSTITUENT BY PHONE TO THE LEGISLATOR. PARTLY AS A RESULT OF THESE EFFORTS THE WISCONSIN LEGISLATURE APPROVED RENEWAL OF KNSF FOR TWO YEARS.
