DISINFORMATION PROGRAM THE GOAL OF THE DISINFORMATION PROGRAM IS TO COUNTER DISINFORMATION IN THE MEDIA TARGETING LATINO VOTERS, PARTICULARLY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA AND OTHER ONLINE PLATFORMS. DURING THE YEAR, EQUIS LABS EXPANDED ITS MONITORING PROGRAM BY FURTHER RESEARCH IN SPANISH, DRAFTING LANDSCAPE ANALYSES OF UNDERREPORTED SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, AND EXPANDED VIDEO MONITORING.
RESEARCH/ANALYSISTHE PROGRAM ACHIEVED A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS AS IT RELATES TO THE LATINO ELECTORATE'S TURNOUT. IT ALSO HELPED PAINT A BETTER PICTURE OF ISSUES AND TOPICS THAT WERE IMPORTANT TO LATINO VOTERS.
