THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE A MEANS FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE PINE RUN RETIREMENT COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT RESIDENTS ACTIVITIES , AND TO RAISE FUNDS TO BENEFIT THE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

EDUCATIONAL-TRIPS AND LIBRARY- INCLUDE1. TRIPS- WHICH ARE ORGANIZED BY THE VILLAGERS TRIP COMMITTEE. APPORXIMATLEY 8-15 VILLAGERS GO ON EACH TRIP. EACH RESIDENT PAYS THEIR OWN TICKET. THE ASSOCATION PICKS UP INCIDENTALS OF TRIP INCLUDING DRIVER MEALS AND PARKING. PINE RUN COMMUNITY PROVIDES TRANPORTATION AT NO COST TO THE RESIDENT. 2. LIBRARY- THE LIBRARY IS MANAGED BY THE VILLAGERS LIBRARY COMMITTEE AND MAINTAINS AND OVERSEES THE OPERATION OF FICTION AND NON-FICTION BOOKS.THE LIBRARY CONTAINS APPROXIMATLEY 800 BOOKS.
COMMUNITY ORIENTED- INCLUDE- 1. 2PM SUNDAY SERVICE OF THE ASSOCIATION, BRINGS LOCAL NONDENOMINATIONAL PASTORS TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER EACH SUNDAY, AND FEATURES SPECIAL MUSIC. APPROXIMATLEY 20 VILLAGERS ARE REGULAR ATTENDES. 2. VILLAGE VOICES- A CHORALGROUP OF MEN AND WOMEN WHO REHEARSE WEEKLY THROUGHT THE YEAR. THEY PRODUCE A TOTALOF 8 CONCERTS FOR THE COMMUNITY, 4 IN THE SPRINGTIME AND 4 IN DECEMBER. 3. OTHER ACTIVITES INCLUDING WOODSHOP, GREEN HOUSE, KNITTERS , HISTORY CLUB AND POTTERY.
SOCIAL- INCLUDES 1. ENTERTAINMENT- THE VILLAGERS ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE SCHEDULES A VARIETY OF WEEKLY ENTERTAINMENT PERFORMANCES DURING THE YEAR. 2. OTHER ACTIVITES INCLUDE RECREATION TABLE TOP GAMES, BINGO, PINE RAILS AND MOVIES.
