THE 400 FOUNDATIONS PRIMARY PROGRAM EFFORT IS ORGANIZING CHURCHES AND OTHER NON-PROFITS TO ENGAGE IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH GAINING ACCESS TO CAPITAL AND CREATING WORK CONTRACTS/JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INDUSTRY. THE 400 FOUNDATION ALSO ADVOCATES WITH GOVERNMENT TO EXPAND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES. IN RESPONSE TO COVID, IN 2020, THE 400 FOUNDATION WORKED WITH THE FOOD PANTRY PROJECT OF THE BRONX, NY. THE 400 FOUNDATION ORGANIZED 185 LOW INCOME NEW YORKERS AND PAID THEM 15 AN HOUR TO PACK FOOD BOXES FOR DELIVERY TO HUNGRY NEW YORKERS.
