MEN OF MELCHIZEDEK PROVIDES GENERAL SUPPORT FOR THE PRIESTHOOD OF THE HOLY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND OF THE EASTERN RITE CATHOLIC CHURCHES OVER WHOM THE SUPREME PONTIFF EXERCISES HIS PRIMACY THROUGH THE CONGREGATION FOR THE EASTERN CHURCHES, AND TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS CONFRONTING CATHOLIC PRIESTS THAT CONFORM TO THE AUTHENTIC TEACHING OF THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH AND OF THE HOLY FATHER AND HIS PREDECESSORS.

MEN OF MELCHIZEDEK PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIGENT CATHOLIC PRIESTS FOR A VARIETY OF NEEDS, INCLUDING LIVING EXPENSES (E.G. FOOD, LODGING, TRANSPORTATION, JOB-SEARCH COSTS, HEALTHCARE, AND AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE AND REPAIR), EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH CANON LAW AND SECULAR LEGAL PROCEEDINGS, PRISON COMMISARY FUNDS, AND EXPENSES RELATED TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS OF PROBATION OR PAROLE.
A) PROVIDING SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND PRACTICAL ADVICE ABOUT ISSUES AFFECTING THEIR PERSONAL LIFE AND PRIESTLY MINISTRY;B) FACILITATING REFERRALS TO THIRD PARTIES WHO CAN ASSIST WITH SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, CANONICAL, AND LEGAL CHALLENGES;C)MINISTERING TO INCARCERATED PRIESTS BY PROVIDING SPIRITUAL PUBLICATIONS, FRATERNAL SUPPORT THROUGH PRISON VISITS, AND ASSISTING WITH RE-ENTRY INTO THE COMMUNITY AT THE END OF THEIR SENTENCES;D)PROVIDING JOB-PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE PRIESTS WHO CAN NO LONGER MINISTER PUBLICLY;E) TEACHING INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TO PRIESTS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN FINANCIAL AFFAIRS BUT DID NOT ACQUIRE THOSE SKILLS IN THEIR FORMER MINISTRY; ANDF) PROVIDING ANY OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES NECESSARY TO ASSIST CATHOLIC PRIESTS.
