PARTNERSHIPS- THE BRIDGER-TETON NATIONAL FOREST ENCOMPASSES 3.4 MILLION ACRES (LARGER THAN YELLOWSTONE & GRAND TETON NATL PARKS COMBINED), FRIENDS OF THE BRIDGER-TETON (FBT) WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE US FOREST SERVICES AND BRIDGER-TETON NATIONAL FOREST TO BETTER STEWARD OUR PUBLIC LANDS THROUGH VOLUNTEER EFFORTS AS WELL AS SUPPORT OF INFASTRUCTURE NEEDS INCLUDING BEAR BOXES, VAULT TOLIETS, SIGNAGE, AND EDUCATIONAL KIOSKS. THE MOST RECENT IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH THESE PARTNERSHIPS POSITIVELY IMPACTED APPROXIMATELY 8,500 PEOPLE LAST YEAR
OUTREACH AND EDUCATION - FBT WORKED WITH LOCAL NONPROFITS, STATE/FEDERAL AGENCIES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO CREATE RESPONIBLE EDUCATION CAMPAIGN AIMED TOWARDS 1ST TIME USERS OF THE PUBLIC LANDS. THE CAMPAIGN WAS CARRIED OUT THROUGH DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH LAND USERS BY THE VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS WHO PATROL TRAILS AND CAMPSITES, PRINTED MATERIAL, OUTREACH AND ADVERTISING, FBT STARTED FILMING A SUITE OF WINTER FILMS TO PROMOTE "RECREATE RESPONSIBLY" WITH BETWEEN 200,000-1,000,000 USERS OF THE BRIDGER-TETON, FBT WORKS TOWARD MAINTAINING AND REDUCING VISITOR IMPACT ON THE FOREST
