WILDFIRE RISK AND MITIGATION WORK FOR APPROX 120 HOUSEHOLDS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. MITIGATION WORK PROJECTS AS PROSCRIBED BY THE COAL CREEK CANYON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT COMMUNITY WILDFIRE PROTECTION PLAN, AND BY A PROFESSIONAL FORESTER, ARE COMPLETED ANNUALLY BY COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS AND BY PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS. REGULAR EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE DELIVERED VIA EMAIL AND PRINTED MATERIAL. PRESENTATIONS WERE COMPLETED AT HOA EVENTS AND OTHER LARGER COMMUNITY-WIDE VENUES. HOME IGNITION AUDITS ARE PERFORMED ON INDIVIDUAL PROPERTIES, IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOMEOWNER, WITH A WRITTEN REPORT PROVIDED FOR FOLLOW-UP ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN.
