WE ARE CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS SAFE, NURTURING AND SEEKS TO MEET THE STUDENTS' ACADEMIC, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS THROUGH MASTERY LEARNING, MINDFULNESS AND A RIGOROUS EDUCATION.

FINISHED WITH $1,174,140 IN THE BANK. WE ENDED THE YEAR WITH $135,340 IN RECEIVABLES. THIS IS THE AMOUNT WE BILLED IPS FOR TITLE GRANTS IN JUNE AND WILL RECEIVE AFTER JUNE 30. SANKOFA FINISHED WITH NET OPERATING REVENUE OF $530,094 FOR THE YEAR. EXPENSES WERE VERY PREDICTABLE. 88% OF ALL EXPENDITURES FOR THE YEAR WERE PAYROLL EXPENDITURES.
AS WE CAME OUT OF THE 2021 SY, WE INCREASED OUR ATTENDANCE RATE FROM 79% TO 83%. WE ARE TRENDING UPWARD WHEN IT COMES TO INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS IN SCHOOL AT SANKOFA. WE ALSO DECREASED OUR SUSPENSION NUMBERS FROM 275 IN 1920 TO 249 IN 2122. (2021 WAS NOT CALCULATED DUE TO VIRTUAL LEARNING)
OUR NWEA DATA FOR THE 2122 SY SHOWS GROWTH IN ELA PROFICIENCY GOING FROM 4.28% IN THE BOY TO 7.02% EOY. WE ALSO SAY 15.02% OF STUDENTS ON GRADE LEVEL AT THE EOY WHICH IS INCREASED FROM 14.87% BOY.
