EACH SEASON, WE HIGHLIGHT BIPOC ARTISTS TO BOOST THEIR IMPACT, DISCOVER COLLABORATIVE OPPORTUNITIES, AND TO INTENTIONALLY PROMOTE DIVERSE STORIES, VOICES, AND MEDIUMS. THIS HAS BECOME A MAINSTAY IN OUR SEASONAL PROGRAMMING AND HELPS GUIDE HOW WE PLAN LIVE EVENTS TO NOT ONLY PROVIDE THE WIDER COMMUNITY WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND FUN, BUT TO SUPPORT ARTISTS OF COLOR IN TANGIBLE WAYS. WE DEVELOPED OUR FEATURED ARTIST PROGRAM IN 2020 IN THE EVENTS SURROUNDING GEORGE FLOYD'S MURDER. EACH FEATURED ARTIST RECEIVES A PERCENTAGE OF OUR SALES AND CAN BE DONATED TO DIRECTLY THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND TICKET SALES HAVE BEEN CONSISTENT AND GROWING. IN ADDITION TO POP-UP PARTIES, ROCK RISING PRODUCES DINNERS, CONCERTS, READINGS AND MORE IN CONJUNCTION WITH WHO IS BEING FEATURED AND WITH THE LET'S WRITE A MUSICAL. LET'S WRITE A MUSICAL! FROM CONCEPTION TO PUBLICATION, ROCK RISING EMPLOYS ARTISTS TO CREATE ORIGINAL WORKS OFTHEATER AND MUSIC FOR EDUCATORS AND DIRECTORS OF THEATER WITH NEW, MEANINGFUL PIECES MADE FOR YOUNG PERFORMERS.
