AN ARRAY OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO EMERGING CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE IN CITIES ACROSS LOUISIANA, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SHREVEPORT, BATON ROUGE, LAKE CHARLES AND LAFAYETTE. ASSISTANCE INCLUDED TRAINING OF BOARD GOVERNANCE, COMMUNICATIONS, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, FINANCES AND TECHNOLOGY, IN ORDER TO EMPOWER AND SUSTAIN THE MINORITY BUSINESS COMMUNITY. WE HAVE LAUNCHED AND SUPPORTED THE GROWTH OF EIGHT CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE WHICH REPRESENT 900+ MINORITY BUSINESSES, ADVOCATED FOR 95,000+ BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES ACROSS LOUISIANA, PARTNERED WITH THE LOUISIANA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO EXTEND THE REACH OF THEIR PROGRAMMING TO SUPPORT LOCAL MINORITY AND RURAL BUSINESSES SINCE 2019 AND WORKED WITH THE LOUISIANA STATE TREASURER TO HELP MAKE AVAILABLE GRANTS FOR BUSINESSES.
