Part 3 - Line 4a
ABC PROVIDES ACADEMIC, ENRICHMENT, AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN IN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS THROUGH SUMMER AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS. THE SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM BENEFITTED 65 CHILDREN AND THE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM BENEFITTED 70 CHILDREN. TO NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, TODAY'S CHILDREN CAN BE FACED WITH THREATS TO THEIR STABILITY AND WELL-BEING. CHILD CARE IS INCREASINGLY UNAFFORDABLE AND THIS LEAVES WORKING FAMILIES WITH DIFFICULT CHOICES TO MAKE. AS A RESULT, CHILDREN MAY BE LEFT HOME ALONE AFTER SCHOOL OR DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. THEIR SAFETY IS COMPROMISED. ABC PROVIDES A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR THOSE CHILDREN WHO NEED HELP THE MOST. ABC ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY PROVIDING AFFORDABLE SUMMER AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS, THUS REDUCING BARRIERS FOR CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE. AT ABC, CHILDREN ARE SAFE AND SUPPORTED, GIVING THEM THE FOUNDATION THEY NEED TO LEARN, GROW, AND THRIVE.
