CAREER CONNECT WASHINGTON:- MACHINISTS INSTITUTE WILL BUILD OUT A WEBSITE AND MARKETING/OUTREACH MATERIALS FOR THE INTERNSHIP, BOOT CAMP, AND PRE-APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS CONTRACTING OUT TO TRIO GROUP.- OBTAIN AN OPEN SITE LICENSE FOR 20-30 STUDENTS THROUGH ELECTUDE, AN ONLINE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH TRAINING IN ALL EIGHT ASE AREAS OF AUTOMOTIVE ESSENTIALS PLUS ELECTRIC DRIVE FOR ONE YEAR- ALIGN THE RENTON SCHOOL DISTRICT (RSD) CURRICULUM WITH THE HEAVY-DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM, INCLUDING OPTION TO GRANT RSI AND OJT CREDIT WITH THE PROGRAM.


PAMA:- COMMUNICATING WITH BOEING AND IAM JOINT PROGRAMS ABOUT EXPANDING APPRENTICESHIP TO ADDITIONAL OCCUPATIONS, ENHANCING CURRENT PROGRAMS, AND LAUNCHING MENTORSHIP TRAINING.- UPDATED THE EXISTING REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP STANDARDS FROM THE GREATER PUGET SOUND AREA AUTOMOTIVE MACHINISTS APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE TO THE NORTHWEST MACHINISTS APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE.- WORKED WITH IAM W25 TO CONNECT WITH MANUFACTURING EMPLOYERS IN WOOD I.E. WEYERHAUSER AND OTHER MILLS. WORKED WITH MARITIME CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR OUTREACH TO MARITIME MANUFACTURING EMPLOYERS TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO DEVELOP NEW AND EXPAND EXISTING REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP IN MARITIME MANUFACTURING.- DELIVERED MENTORSHIP MATTERS TRAINING, AN ONLINE SEMINAR THAT TEACHES COMMUNICATION SKILLS THAT MAKE THE WORKPLACE MORE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT.

THE INFORMATION THAT WAS GATHERED INCLUDED: THE NAME/NUMBER OF THE COURSE AND ITS LENGTH; NUMBER OF CREDITS; PROCESS THE STUDENT NEEDS TO GO THROUGH TO GET THE CREDITS; DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE STUDENTS ATTAINING THE CREDITS (WHERE POSSIBLE); ARE THE HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES DURING SCHOOL OR AFTER (IN THE CASE OF YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP); INPUT FROM THE CTE DIRECTORS ON THE BARRIERS FOR THE DUAL CREDIT PROCESS- IDENTIFIED AND DOCUMENTED THE POSSIBLE COMMUNITY & TECHNICAL COLLEGE (CTC) PROGRAMS THAT WOULD MAP TO CORE PLUS FOR DUAL CREDIT ARTICULATION.
