OUR VISION IS TO CREATE A VIBRANT AND COMPREHENSIVE MONTESSORI PROGRAM SERVING OUR COMMUNITY OF THE MENDOCINO COAST. WE STRIVE TO CREATE A LEARNING COMMUNITY WHERE CHILDREN REALIZE THEIR ACADEMIC, SOCIAL AND PERSONAL POTENTIAL WHILE MAINTAINING A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE.WE ARE TRAINED IN AND RECEIVE MONTESSORI CREDENTIALS. WE ASK ALL STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASSROOM COMMUNITY BY ENGAGING IN LESSONS, INDEPENDENT WORK AND WHOLE CLASS ACTIVITIES/MEETINGS. PRACTICE THE MONTESSORI METHOD AND BE GUIDED BY TEACHERS AND STAFF, COMMUNICATE WITH TEACHERS, STAFF AND PARENTS ABOUT ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL EXPERIENCES.

MONTESSORI DEL MAR PROVIDES A SAFE, NUTURING AND STIMULATING MONTESSORI ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDREN DEVELOP THEIR NATURAL JOY OF LEARNING AND BECOME ENGAGED CITIZENS OF THE WORLD. WE DO THAT THROUGH A PROGRAM THAT IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE MONTESSORI EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY. THIS MODEL IS BASED ON EDUCATING THE WHOLE CHILD AND BUILDING LIFELONG INSPIRED LEARNERS.WE SERVE STUDENTS FROM AGES 4-13, IN A PRIMARY PROGRAM, LOWER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM AND UPPER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM.
