THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC BY GRANTING $970,000 FOR HUNGER RELIEF AND INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE TO 35 SERVICE PROVIDERS COUNTYWIDE, INCLUDING FOOD BANKS, FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS, AND SENIOR CENTERS. AS THE NONPROFIT COMMUNITY IN MENDOCINO COUNTY NAVIGATED THE ONGOING IMPACTS OF COVID-19, THE FOUNDATION FOCUSED ITS GRANT-MAKING MODEL TO SUPPORT THEIR EFFORTS, PROVIDING $2.002 MILLION IN OPERATING AND PROGRAM SUPPORT TO 179 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND $194,200 FOR DISASTER RELIEF TO VICTIMS OF LOCAL WILDFIRES. IN TOTAL, THE FOUNDATION MADE 531 GRANTS TO 187 RECIPIENTS. THE FOUNDATION'S GROWING PORTFOLIO OF 42 SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ALSO AWARDED 108 SCHOLARSHIPS TO 92 STUDENTS.
