AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS - IN 2019, WATER 4 MERCY (W4M) PROVIDED SEED MONEY TO CULTIVAID THROUGH PEF ISRAEL ENDOWMENT FUNDS, INC. (A U.S. BASED NON-PROFIT)IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE WATER 4 MERCY SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE. THE WATER 4 MERCY SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE WAS ESTABLISHED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IN DODOMA, TANZANIA. TOGETHER WE ARE DEVELOPING A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE TO SUPPORT TEACHER TRAINING, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, JOB CREATION, ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT, AND AGRI-BUSINESS. THE JOINT PROGRAM OF TECHNOLOGY AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER WILL GREATLY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE REMOTE AREA AND IMPROVE THE LIVELIHOOD OF THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. IN 2022, W4M SUPPORTED DRIP IRRIGATIONS PROJECTS FOR THE VILLAGES OF MAPINDUZI, NDEBWE, MASEYA, HUZI, & MAZENGO-HANDALI. W4M ALSO PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR THE AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY CENTERS (AITEC) IN DODOMA & EMBU AND PROVIDED THE FUNDING TO PURCHASE A 54 SEATER BUS TO FACILITATE TRANSPORTATION.
WATER WELL PROJECTS - WATER 4 MERCY (W4M) CONTINUES TO PARTNER WITH THE NONPROFIT, INNOVATION: AFRICA, TO PROVIDE WATER TO REMOTE AFRICAN VILLAGES. IN 2021, W4M FUNDED THREE VILLAGES - MAPINDUZI, MAZENGO-HANDALI, AND MANDELA. INNOVATION: AFRICA USES INNOCATIVE ISRALEI SOLAR POWERED WATER PUMPS AND DRIP IRRIGATION TECHNOLOGY TO BRING LIFE-GIVING WATER TO REMOTE VILLAGES IN AFRICA. CLEAN WATER IS CRITICAL FOR DRINKING, COOKING, GOOD HYGIENE, BRICK MAKING, AND FARMING. THE HARVESTED CROPS BRING NOURISHMENT AND PRIDE TO VILLAGERS AS THEY REGAIN THEIR SENSE OF HUMAN DIGNITY.
