STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP SHE HAS A NAME AWARDED 7 FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR A TOTAL OF 32,934. WE GRANTED OUR FIRST OUT-OF-STATE AWARD TO A SURVIVOR WHO HAS SINCE GRADUATED WITH HER MASTERS DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. EACH AWARDEE WAS MATCHED WITH A MENTOR IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY OR INTENDED PROFESSION.
THE APRIL THACKER DREAM SCHOLARSHIP THIRTEEN SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING ATTENDED SHE HAS A NAME'S DREAM SESSIONS TO DISCOVER WHAT COMES NEXT IN THEIR JOURNEY TOWARDS RECOVERY. THE SESSIONS WERE LED BY A CERTIFIED COUNSELOR AND SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND ASKED PARTICIPANTS TO CONSIDER A DREAM THEY HAVE THROUGH PERSONAL REFLECTION AND CREATING A VISION BOARD. FOUR DREAM SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED FOR A TOTAL OF 11,324. THESE INCLUDED NEW FURNISHINGS FOR TWO APARTMENTS AND EQUIPMENT TO START AN OUTDOOR TRAUMA RECOVERY PROGRAM.
SOLICITOR EDUCATION PROGRAM TOGETHER WITH COMPLETE EDUCATION SERVICES LLC, WE ACQUIRED ONE JOHN SCHOOL IN JULY 2021. IN OCTOBER WE PURCHASED THE PROGRAM, RENAMING IT THE SOLICITOR EDUCATION PROGRAM (SEP). WE HOSTED TWO ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS IN DECEMBER 2021 AND APRIL 2022. A TOTAL OF 143 PEOPLE COMPLETED THE PROGRAM. NET PROCEEDS TOTALING 3833 WERE REINVESTED INTO OUR SURVIVIOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS.
THIS AMOUNT CONSISTS OF OTHER PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES USED TO CONTINUE THE MISSION OF SHE HAS A NAME.
