AS OUR FIRST CUSTOM TRAINING PROGRAM, OUR FOUR-WEEK LOGGING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR SCHOOL PROVIDES TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS AGED 18+ TO PREPARE THEM FOR A CAREER IN LOGGING. THIS PROGRAM ESPECIALLY GEARED TOWARDS RECENT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES WHO HAVE A DESIRE TO BEGIN A CAREER IN LOGGING.


OTHER ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP A PIPELINE OF QUALIFIED WORKERS FOR THE LOGGING AND WOOD PRODUCT MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES.


FWTI'S FOREST WORKFORCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS SPECIFICALLY TARGETED AT STUDENTS AND OTHER POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES WHO WANT TO WORK IN THE FOREST INDUSTRY BUT REQUIRE ADDITIONAL EDUCATION OR TRAINING TO BEGIN THAT CAREER PATH.


THE LANDSCAPE SCALE RESTORATION PROGRAM IS A FOREST SERVICE STATE AND PRIVATE FORESTRY COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES COLLABORATIVE, SCIENCE-BASED RESTORATION OF PRIORITY FOREST LANDSCAPES AND FURTHERS PRIORITIES IDENTIFIED IN STATE FOREST ACTION PLANS OR EQUIVALENT RESTORATION STRATEGY.
