SIREN - RESEARCH: THE CHARITY SPONSORS ORGINAL RESEARCH INTO SAFETY MATTERS AFFECTING THE CONSTRUCTION AND OTHER INDUSTRIES. EXAMPLES OF RESEARCH STUDIES CONDUCTED INCLUDE: THE POTENTIAL FOR VIRTUAL REALITY IN CERTIFICATION TESTING; AND THE IMPACT OF OSHA'S EVALUATION REQUIREMENT ON EMPLOYERS' EFFORTS TO QUALIFY THEIR CRANE OPERATORS.
SIREN - EDUCATION: THE CHARITY SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE INDUSTRIES IT SERVES THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING. EXAMPLES INCLUDE ORGANIZING THE ANNUAL INDUSTRY FORUM ON PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS; SOLICITING CONTENT FOR THE TRI-ANNUAL CONEXPO CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT EDUCATION PROGRAM; AND CREATING AND MAINTAINING THE ONLINE DIRECTORIES OF ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION ORGANIZATIONS AND THE MOST SIMILAR CERTIFICATIONS DIRECTORY.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT: THE CHARITY IS A MAIN SPONSOR OF THE LIFT & MOVE USA YOUTH ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE WHICH SEEKS TO PROMOTE THE POTENTIAL OF THE CRANE AND RIGGING INDUSTRIES TO HIGH SCHOOLS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AS AN ALTERNATIVE PATHWAY TO COLLEGE. THE CHARITY ALSO PARTICIPATES IN THE GOVERNANCE OF YOUTHBUILD PHILLY, A "SECOND-CHANCE" HIGH SCHOOL WITH AN ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION TRACK, AND THE ACE MENTOR PROGRAM OF AMERICA.
