HAYWARD COLLEGIATE BEGAN START-UP OF ITS PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL, WHICH BEGAN INSTRUCTION IN FALL 2019. DURING THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR, THE CHARTER SERVED APPROXIMATELY 141 STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 3RD GRADE. PRIORITIES INCLUDED RECRUITING, HIRING, DEVELOPING, AND RETAINING OUTSTANDING TEACHERS AS IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF TEACHERS WAS RECOGNIZED AS THE MOST IMPORTANT DATA POINT IN ENSURING STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN SCHOOL.
