THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL P URPOSES, SPECIFICALLY: 1. TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES OF FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS, ESPECIALLY THE FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, TH ROUGH EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE. 2. TO MOBILIZE AND UTILIZE COMMUNITY RESOU RCES WITH THE AIM OF ENLARGING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFI CERS FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, IN THE FIELDS OF ED UCTION, EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING AND IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE, THEREBY REDUCING OR ELIMINATING FAMILIAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS WHICH PERPETUATE VIOLENCE, DR UGS, DISEASES AND POVERTY. 3. TO ASSESS COMMUNITY CAPACITIES, IDENTIFY PROJECT S TO WORK ON, GENERATE ACTION PLANS, AND ENGAGE MEMBERS IN COLLECTIVE ACTI ON TO OVERCOME OBSTACLES AND BARRIERS. 4.
