THE LA COALITION FOR EXCELLENT PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROVIDED TRAINING TO FAMILY LEADERS ON ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY SKILLS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SHARED BEST PRACTICES, RESOURCES AND IDEAS FOR IMPROVING OPERATIONS, ACADEMIC OUTCOMES AND PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO BENEFIT THE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES SERVED. THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED THE POWER BUILDING INSTITUTE WHERE 258 PARENT LEADERS WERE TRAINED ON ORGANIZING PRINCIPLES AND KEY CHARTER SCHOOL POLICIES THAT IMPACT THEIR SCHOOLS.
