BROOK LANE BEHAVIORAL SERVICES, INC. IS A NON-PROFIT MENTAL HEALTH ORGANIZATION HELPING INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES ACHIEVE EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL WELLBEING THROUGH EDUCATION AND TREATMENT. WE PROVIDE OUTPATIENT THERAPY, PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION, SPECIAL EDUCATION AND A RESIDENTIAL FACILITY.

BROOK LANE'S LICENSED CLINICAL STAFF OFFERS OUTPATIENT THERAPY TO HELP INDIVIDUALS BUILD COPING SKILLS, PROMOTE POSITIVE WELL-BEING AND BATTLE ADDICTION. COUNSELING SESSIONS CAN BE FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, GROUPS AND/OR FAMILIES. THERAPY INVOLVES ASSESSMENT, EVALUATION AND MEDICATION MANAGEMENT IF NECESSARY. BROOK LANE'S PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM (OR DAY TREATMENT) ALLOWS CHILDREN TO RECEIVE STRUCTURED, INTENSIVE THERAPY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, DURING THE DAY, AND RETURN HOME EACH EVENING. BEGINNING WITH A PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION, A TREATMENT PLAN IS TAILORED FOR EACH CHILD THAT MAY INCLUDE INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, OR FAMILY THERAPY, AS WELL AS MEDICATION MANAGEMENT AND EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON HELPING CHILDREN COPE WITH ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, ANGER MANAGEMENT, SOCIAL SKILLS, SELF-ESTEEM AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
LAUREL HALL IS A LICENSED, NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL, GRADES 1 THROUGH 12, DESIGNED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND THERAPY, IN A STRUCTURED SETTING, FOR STUDENTS WITH EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES. CHILDREN MUST BE REFERRED FROM THEIR HOME SCHOOLS BASED ON AN INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PROGRAM (IEP). STAFF INCLUDE CERTIFIED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS, BEHAVIORAL SPECIALISTS, CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS AND NURSES. BROOK LANE HAS TWO LAUREL HALL LOCATIONS: ONE IN HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND AND ONE IN FREDERICK, MARYLAND.
THE HIGH ACUITY RESIDENTIAL CRISIS PROGRAM IS A UNIT DESIGNED TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE A 7 BED HIGH INTENSITY, CRISIS STABILIZATION PROGRAM FOR YOUTHS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 8 AND 17 IN A BEHAVIORAL OR MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS, WHO REQUIRE INTENSIVE SERVICES FOR STABILIZATION FOLLOWING A HOSPITALIZATION, AND ARE AT A RISK OF ADMISSION, BUT WHO CAN APPROPRIATELY SERVE IN A SETTING LESS INTENSIVE THAN A HOSPITAL. YOUTH IS REFERRED FROM THE STATE AND THEN REVIEWED, AND ACCEPTED BY BROOK LANE. THIS UNIT IS LOCATED ON BROOK LANE'S MAIN CAMPUS IN HAGERSTOWN, MD.
