HOME: THREE WOMEN SEARCH FOR HEALING BY ENTERING THE WALLS OF THEIR MINDS. THIS SITE-SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE WAS CREATED OUT OF A TAPESTRY OF INTERVIEWS COLLECTED FROM RESIDENTS OF WEST HILL IN AKRON, OHIO AND THE RESEARCH AND EXPLORATION OF THE CHAMELEON VILLAGE THEATRE COLLECTIVE ENSEMBLE. BROKERS WITHOUT BORDERS: A MULTIETHNIC, THEATRICAL ENSEMBLE OF FORMER REFUGEES WHO IDENTIFY AS CULTURAL BROKERS, MEANING THAT THEY ACT AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN THEIR OWN CULTURE AND ANOTHER BY TRANSLATING AND INTERPRETING REGULARLY FOR THEIR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THIS PROJECT ADDRESSES THE DIVIDE BY CREATING A CROSS-CULTURAL ORIGINAL PLAY THAT DEMONSTRATES THE EXPERIENCE OF NAVIGATING AN ENTIRELY NEW WORLD AND THE CELEBRATIONS OF FINDING SUCCESS IN A GLOBALIZED COMMUNITY. QUTHEATR MONTHLY QUEER GATHERINGS: EVERY MONTH THE COMPANY HAD CREATIVE GATHERINGS WITH LGBTQ COMMUNITY TO COLLECT STORIES ABOUT QUEER JOY FOR THEIR UPCOMING SHOW.
