PAWS HAS 8 PROGRAMS AIMED AT PREVENTING PET HOMELESSNESS, PROTECTING PETS FROM HARM AND SUFFERING; AND PROMOTING RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP. ADDITIONALY, IT PROVIDES SUPPORT TO LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR SPAY/NEUTER AND VETERINARY CARE, CARE FOR PETS OF VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND DISASTERS, PLUS HUMANE EDUCATION.
THE SHELTER FUND: OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST 10 YEARS, PAWS HAS GRANTED IN EXCESS OF 600,000 TO LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS IN JACKSON, WYOMING, STAR VALLEY, WYOMING, AND TETON VALLEY, ID. THESE GRANTED FUNDS HAVE ENABLED THE SHELTERS TO MAKE MUCH NEEDED CAPITAL IMPROVMENTS, PAID FOR STAFFING, AND PROVIDED TRAINING SERVICES FOR SHELTER DOGS.
SPAY/NUETER PROGRAM: IN 2021 PAWS PROVIDED MORE THAN 700 FREE AND LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER VOUCHERS TO RESIDENTS OF TETON COUNTY, WY, STAR VALLEY, WY, AND TETON COUNTY, ID WHICH BRINGS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF VOUCHERS PAWS HAS FUNDED TO APPROXIMATELY 9,400 SINCE 2008.
MEDFUND: THE PAWS MEDFUND PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 150 FAMILIES WHOSE PETS NEEDED CRITICAL VETERINARY CARE. THE LIFESAVING PROGRAM PREVENTS UNNECESSARY SUFFERING OF PETS DUE TO FINANCIAL CONSTRAINTS.
