WE ARE AN INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY OF CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG TEAMS. AT ATD, WE PROVIDE TESTING, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION, SUPPORT, AND INSURANCE FOR MEMBERS WHO VOLUNTEER WITH THEIR DOGS IN ANIMAL-ASSISTED ACTIVITIES. OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO FORM A NETWORK OF CARING INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR SPECIAL DOGS ARE WILLING TO SHARE SMILES AND JOY WITH PEOPLE, YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE.

VOLUNTEER VISITS: ALLIANCE OF THERAPY DOGS PROVIDES TESTING, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION, SUPPORT, AND 5 MILLION DOLLARS IN LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR 17,000 MEMBERS WHO VOLUNTEER WITH THEIR DOGS TO VISIT FACILITIES. WE'RE A NETWORK OF CARING VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE WILLING TO SHARE OUR SPECIAL CANINES TO BRING SMILES AND JOY TO PEOPLE, YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE. OUR TEAMS PROVIDE THERAPY IN MANY SETTINGS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO AIRPORTS, NURSING HOMES, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, REHAB FACILITIES, MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTIONS, SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, CANCER CENTERS, HOSPICE FACILITIES, COLLEGE CAMPUSES AND CAN ALSO PROVIDE THERAPY IN PATIENTS' HOMES. VOLUNTEERS LOGGED OVER 250,000 VISITS FOR THE YEAR REACHING OVER 3 MILLION INDIVIDUALS.


ATD NEWSMAGAZINE: OUR AWARD WINNING NEWSMAGAZINE IS PUBLISHED TWICE A YEAR AND MAILED OR SHARED DIGITALLY WITH APPROXIMATELY17,000 MEMBERS, PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS AND FACILITIES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. THE PUBLICATION SHARES STORIES FROM OUR MEMBERS, MIRACLE MOMENTS OF THE WAY OUR THERAPY DOGS POSITIVELY AFFECT THOSE THEY VISIT, THERAPY DOGS IN THE NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT OF THERAPY DOG RETIREMENT AND RAINBOW BRIDGE NOTIFICATIONS AS WELL AS HELPFUL TIPS AND TIDBITS FOR OUR MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS.


ATD SCHOLARSHIP: ATD HAS BEEN AWARDING A YEARLY SCHOLARSHIP SINCE 2004. THE TOTAL AMOUNT AWARDED IS 10,000 A YEAR AND CAN BE GIVEN TO ONE OR SPLIT AMONG SEVERAL APPLICANTS.
