THE WYOMING ENGINEERING SOCIETY HOLDS A CONVENTION EACH YEAR DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF FEBRUARY. APPROXIMATELY 300 PEOPLE ATTEND THE CONVENTION ALONG WITH 40 EXHIBITORS. THE ATTENDEES ARE ABLE TO CHOOSE FROM A MULTIPLE LIST OF CLASSES OVER A 3 DAY PERIOD IN WHICH THEY LEARN ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGY AND NEW CONCEPTS FOR ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING. WE ALSO PROVIDE 7 CASH AWARDS GIVEN TO UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING STUDENTS WHO ARE SELECTED EACH YEAR BASED ON GRADES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS. WE ALSO RECOGNIZE 6 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS EACH YEAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING.
