STAFF SUPPORT - A TOP GOAL FOR THE LIBRARY IS TO FOSTER STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND A POSITIVE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE. THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THIS GOAL BY ASSISTING WITH COSTS FOR STAFF TRAINING AND RELATED TRAVEL AS WELL AS FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO STAFF APPRECIATION.
THE CAMPBELL COUNTY RECREATION DISTRICT GRANT FUNDS APPEARANCES EACH YEAR - THESE AUTHORS ARE GEARED TO CHILDREN AND TEEN AUDIENCES; THE AUTHORS PROVIDE LITERACY PROGRAMS TO CAMPBELL COUNTY STUDENTS AND ALSO TO A GENERAL PUBLIC AUDIENCE AT THE LIBRARY. AS PART OF THE PUBLIC APPEARANCE, THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION PURCHASES BOOKS FROM PUBLISHERS AND THEN SELLS THE BOOKS AT THE EVENT. THESE TRANSACTIONS DO NOT GENERATE REVENUE FOR THE FOUNDATION; THE FOUNDATION GENERALLY BREAKS EVEN. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES THIS PUBLIC SERVICE TO PROMOTE LITERACY BY GIVING LIBRARY USERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE BOOKS WRITTEN BY THE AUTHORS WHO PRESENT THE LITERACY PROGRAM.
ART - ARTWORK IS PURCHASED FOR THE CAMPBELL COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR DISPLAY. THESE PIECES ARE PURCHASED AND MAINTAINED BY THE FOUNDATION.
