PROMOTE POLICIES AND PRACTICES THAT ARE DESIGNED TO (1) CREATE TEACHING/LEARNING CONDITIONS THAT WILL CLOSE ACHIEVEMENT GAPS, INCREASE GRADUATION RATES, AND PROVIDE A QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL STUDENTS, AND (2) RECRUIT AND RETAIN A QUALITY WORKFORCE BY IMPROVING THE COMPENSATION, RETIREMENT BENEFITS, AND OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS OF EDUCATION EMPLOYEES, ADVANCING THEIR PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS AND ADDRESSING THEIR CONCERNS ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE.
