Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
PROGRAMMING - RODEO CINEMA SUCCESSFULLY BEGAN THE PROCESS OF CREATING PROGRAMMING PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE GOAL OF PROMOTING COMMUNITY CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH FILM. OUR FIRST PARTNERSHIP THROUGH ITVS AND PBS CONNECTED US TO THE CHOCTAW TRIBE OF OKLAHOMA, THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, LOCAL PBS AFFILIATE OETA, AND THE OKLAHOMA FILM AND MUSIC OFFICE. THROUGH THESE PARTNERSHIPS, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR AUDIENCE WITH UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN PANEL DISCUSSIONS, SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS, AND EVENTS USING FILM AS A MEDIUM FOR DISCUSSION AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS.
CINEMA - OPENING AS OKLAHOMA CITYS FIRST INDEPENDENT FILM ART HOUSE THEATRE IN 2018, AUDIENCE MEMBERS HAVE FOUND THAT RODEO CINEMA FILLS THE VOID FOR THOUGHT PROVOKING AND ENLIGHTENING FILM DISCUSSIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT. FILMS WHICH WOULD PREVIOUSLY HAVE SKIPPED OVER THE OKLAHOMA CITY MARKET ARE NOW FINDING A HOME AT RODEO CINEMA FURTHER DEVELOPING THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE OF OUR CITY.
