WE HOSTED TWO EVENTS CELEBRATING WOMEN'S CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS: 1. ART AND POETRY SHOWCASE AT MIAMI DADE COLLEGE HOMESTEAD CAMPUS O FEATURED ARTWORK BY TWO FEMALE ARTISTS AND A MALE ARTIST DEPICTING POSITIVE IMAGES OF WOMEN. O WE HAD FEMALE PERFORMERS AND PRE-SELECTED STUDENTS SHARED POEMS BY OR ABOUT WOMEN. WE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS WITH STUDENTS AT THE COLLEGE. 2. A WOMAN'S REFLECTION O THIS EVENT HIGHLIGHTED WOMEN ARTISTS, HOSTED A PANEL DISCUSSION, AND HONORED THE LATE DEANNE CONNOLLY GRAHAM, A DEDICATED SUPPORTER OF A REFLECTION OF ME, INC. THIS EVENT INCLUDED A Q&A SESSION BETWEEN THE AUDIENCE AND PANEL PARTICIPANTS. KEEP MOVING SHOE PAINTING WORKSHOP (APRIL 2023) AT THE LITTLE HAITI CULTURAL CENTER, PARTICIPANTS OF A L AGES EXPRESSED THEIR CREATIVITY THROUGH SHOE PAINTING. THE WORKSHOP ALSO FACILITATED DISCUSSIONS ABOUT EMOTIONS AND HOW ART CAN SERVE AS A TOOL FOR HEALING. SHOES AND PAINTING MATERIALS WERE PROVIDED TO A L ATTENDEES. HOSTED SEVERAL ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS FEATURING AND PAYING OVER 40 ARTISTS FROM VARIOUS DISCIPLINES. THESE EVENTS ATTRACTED HOTEL GUESTS AND LOCALS, CREATING A VIBRANT CULTURAL EXPERIENCE. ONE EVENT FOCUSED ON NOT ALLOWING OBSTACLES TO STOP YOU FROM FINDING A PATH FORWARD. MAKE A WAY. HE HAD MORE THAN 10 ADDITIONAL GUEST SPEAKERS AND PANELISTS DURING THESE PROGRAMS. WE ALSO INCLUDED THE YOUTH INVOLVEMENT AS SPEAKERS, ARTISTS, COORDINATORS, AND VOLUNTEERS. ART ENGAGEMENT AT KIPP MIAMI STUDENTS LEARNED ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ART THROUGH DISCUSSION, WHILE SOME RECEIVING BACKPACKS AND ART SUPPLIES TO SUPPORT THEIR CREATIVITY AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS.
