HEARTFIRE TRAINS YOUNG ADULTS TO PERFORM BASIC MEDICAL SKILLS AND TO ADVANCE THEIR HUMANITARIAN APTITUDE, AND THEN PROVIDES UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO TRAVEL ABROAD ON MISSION TRIPS, TRANSPORTING THEM FROM THEIR FAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS TO SERVE IN THE UNFAMILIAR PLACE WHERE REAL TRANSFORMATIOIN BEGINS.

AT HEARTFIRE, WE LEAD YOUNG ADULTS OUT OF THEIR COMFORTABLE, WESTERN RUT AND INTO A LAND OF MIRACLES - THE KIND FOUND IN IMPOVERISHED VILLAGES AND HOPE-FILLED HOSPITALS. IT IS HERE WHERE THEY UNDERGO A LIFE-LONG TRANSFORMATION AND RETURN HOME ETERNALLY CHANGED. HEARTFIRE WANTED OT BE AGGRESSIVE IN GETTING OUT ON THE MISSION FIELD EVEN AS THE PANDEMIC RAGED ON. AS A RESULT, WE WERE THE THIRD AND FOURTH MISSION TEAMS TO BE GRANTED ENTRANCE INTO ECUADOR. ON THESE TRIPS WE WERE PRIVILEGED TO PERFORM 32 LIFE-EXTENDING SURGERIES AND TRAIN MULTIPLE LOCAL PHYSICIANS AS WELL AS AMERICANS PURSUING A CAREER IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD.
