OUR MISSION IS TO SERVE AS A LOCAL CHAPTER OF PROJECT TRANSFORMATION AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO STUDENTS.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2020 INCLUDE:- FALL/SPRING WEEKLY VIRTUAL READING PROGRAM TO SUPPORT 5 CHILDREN;- SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM SUPPORTED 13 CHILDREN IN THEIR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT. ALL 13 CHILDREN MAINTAINED OR IMPROVED THEIR READING LEVEL AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM. CHILDREN WERE GIVEN BOOKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS TO TAKE HOME;- 7 YOUNG ADULTS WERE HIRED FOR THE SUMMER TO LEAD THE CHILDRENS PROGRAM. THE YOUNG ADULTS WERE GIVEN TRAINING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT EXPERIENCES. AT THE END OF THE SUMMER, EVERY YOUNG ADULT REPORTED THEY FELT MORE CONFIDENT BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE FROM DIFFERENT RACIAL-ETHNIC GROUPS AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
