IT WAS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY RESEARCH EFFORT TO OBTAIN A BETTER SCIENTIC UNDERSTANDING OF LAKE ALTAUSSEE IN TERMS OF ITS CULTURAL, ECOLOGICAL, AND GEOLOGICAL SIGNICANCE.
