THE FUND WILL PROVIDE A REWARDS-BASED VOLUNTARY TRAINING PROGRAM, PROVIDING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS OF THE INTERNATIONAL UNION OF PAINTERS AND ALLIED TRADES DISTRICT COUNCIL NO. 51 AND REWARDING THOSE WHO MEET TRAINING REQUIREMENTS. THE FUND WILL PROMOTE SAFETY AWARENESS AND TRAINING, ALONG WITH JOB SKILLS ENHANCEMENT FOR UNION MEMBERS IN THE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PAINTING, DRYWALL AND GLAZING INDUSTRIES. THE FUND WILL BE USED TO HELP INCREASE THE MARKET SHARE OF UNIONIZED BUSINESSES IN THE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PAINTING, DRYWALL AND GLAZING INDUSTRIES BY PROVIDING HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS TO UNION MEMBERS. THIS WILL ENABLE UNIONIZED CONTRACTORS IN THESE INDUSTRIES TO EXPAND WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS.
