IN 2021, DHIT GLOBAL CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY CONFIDENCE, A DECISION SUPPORT TOOL FOR GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO UNDERSTAND THE STATE OF HEALTH IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND SIMULATE POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT. THE ORIGINAL GRANT FOR 917,360 THAT WAS RECEIVED IN 2020 PAID FOR 6 MONTHS OF RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND PROGRAM PROMOTION. THE FREE SERVICE LAUNCHED IN DECEMBER 2020 FOR 7 COUNTIES IN NORTH CAROLINA. THUS FAR THROUGH 2021, THE ONLINE TOOL HAS BEEN VISITED BY OVER 4,500 PEOPLE AND DHIT GLOBAL STAFF HAVE DONE DEMONSTRATIONS AND WEBINAR TRAINING SESSIONS TO OVER 3,000 NORTH CAROLINIANS TO USE THE TOOL.
IN JANUARY 2021, DHIT GLOBAL LAUNCHED ANOTHER SEASON OF ITS FREE VIRTUAL WEBINAR SERIES, THE DHIT FREQUENCY, INVITING PUBLIC HEALTH AND INNOVATION EXPERTS FROM ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY TO DIG DEEP INTO HOW DIGITAL HEALTH COULD BE USED TO ADDRESS HEALTH CONCERNS CAUSED OR AGGRAVATED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THESE MODERATED PANEL DISCUSSIONS WERE OFFERED WITH FREE REGISTRATION, AND THEN RECORDINGS AND BLOG SUMMARIES WERE POSTED TO THE DHIT GLOBAL WEBSITE FOR LATER VIEWING.
