MISSION STATEMENT: THE RECOVERY ORGANIZATION OF SUPPORT SPECIALISTS (ROSS) AIMS TO ADVOCATE, EMPOWER AND COLLABORATE FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL SEEKING RECOVERY. ROSS SEEKS TO FURTHER DEVELOP AND ADVANCE THE ROLE OF RECOVERY SUPPORT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY WHILE PROMOTING THE RIGHT OF SELF- DETERMINATION AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY IN INDIVIDUALS PURSUING RECOVERY.

THE RECOVERY ORGANIZATION OF SUPPORT SPECIALISTS (ROSS) AIMS TO ADVOCATE, EMPOWER AND COLLABORATE FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL SEEKING RECOVERY. ROSS SEEKS TO FURTHER DEVELOP AND ADVANCE THE ROLE OF RECOVERY SUPPORT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY WHILE PROMOTING THE RIGHT OF SELF- DETERMINATION AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY IN INDIVIDUALS PURSUING RECOVERY. ROSS RECEIVES THE FOLLOWING FUNDING SOURCES TO ACHIEVE THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT: BLOCK GRANT - FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH (ADMH) THROUGH A FEDERAL BLOCK GRANT. ALABAMA STATE FUNDING - FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE ADMH THROUGH STATE FUNDING. SOR-2 & SOR EXTENSION - FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE ADMH THROUGH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WHO OPIATES AND STIMULANTS. BJA - FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE ADMH THROUGH A FEDERAL GRANT TO ASSIST THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE. ADPH - FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE ADMH THROUGH A FEDERAL GRANT TO ASSIST THE ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH.


NACC PROGRAM PROVIDES PEER SUPPORT FOR MEDICAID PATIENTS IN CULLMAN COUNTY AND MADISON COUNTY WHO HAVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. FUNDING IS PROVIDED THROUGH THE ALABAMA COORDINATED HEALTH NETWORK. FREEDOM GRANT FEDERAL GRANT, WHERE WE PARTNER WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA TO PROVIDE EDUCATION ABOUT ADDICTION AND RECOVERY TO FIRST RESPONDERS. OD2A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO USE REAL TIME DATA TO REDUCE DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS.


MY CARE PROGRAM PROVIDES PEER SUPPORT FOR MEDICAID PATIENTS IN NORTHERN ALABAMA WHO HAVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. FUNDING IS PROVIDED THROUGH THE ALABAMA COORDINATED HEALTH NETWORK.


RCSP PART OF THE FIVE-YEAR FEDERAL GRANT TO PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS IN ALABAMA.
