WE PROVIDE DANCE & ARTS CLASSES AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. WE SERVED OVER 150 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES.IN 2022, DOWN FOR DANCE ("DFD") PERFORMED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AT VARIOUS RECITALS & COMMUNITY EVENTS - EVERY IN-PERSON CLASS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:- DFD PERFORMED AT THE DISABILITY RIGHTS LEGAL CENTER (DRLC) 47TH ANNUAL FDR DINNER.- FOR THE FIRST TIME, A DFD SOLOIST PERFORMED ON STAGE BY HIMSELF WITH NO VOLUNTEER HELP.- DFD HOSTED OUR 2ND ANNUAL NATIONAL VIRTUAL HOMECOMING DANCE, COMPLETE WITH AWARDS.- DFD PARTNERED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITY TO COLLABORATE, CONNECT &BETTER SERVE THE DISABILITY POPULATION. OUR PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED:- WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY CELEBRATION WITH DSAOC- SUPERFEST VOLUNTEER SUPPORT- BAC MUSICAL THEATER COLLABORATION- CAMPPALS INSTRUCTIONDFD ALSO HOSTED IN-PERSON MUSICAL THEATER SUMMER CAMP FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019.
