FUNDRAISING EVENTS FOR THE YEAR INCLUDED: THE BUDDY WALK WITH 476 PARTICIPANTS AND OVER 649 DONATIONS; VIRTUAL BINGO ATTENDED BY 93 PARTICIPANTS.SOCIAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY FOR THOSE WITH DOWN SYNDROME INCLUDED: LITTLE STEPS - A PROGRAM FOR AGES 0-3 - WITH 5 FAMILIES MEETING IN SEVERAL EVENTS; NEXT STEPS - A PROGRAM FOR AGES 4-7 WITH 5 FAMILIES PARTICIPATING; AND CLUB VIP - A PROGRAM FOR THOSE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE - 3 IN-PERSON EVENTS WERE HELD DURING THE YEAR AVERAGING 10 PARTICIPANTS EACH. THERE WAS AN EDCUATION PROGRAM DRAWING BETWEEN 5 AND 10 FAMILIES MONTHLY WITH SESSIONS ON READING, MATH, AND SPEECH FOR CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WERE SEVERAL VIRTUAL CLASSES HELD DURING THE YEAR INCLUDING IVDSA EXERCISE WORKSHOP, BAKING, COOKING, AND YOGA. THESE EVENTS AVERAGED 5-8 PARTICIPANTS WEEKLY. FINALLY A MONTHLY VIRTUAL BINGO EVENT ATTRACTED 10 PARTICIPANTS ON AVERAGE.FAMILY SOCIALS - A TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT WAS HELD WITH 30 FAMILIES PARTIIPATING; A WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY CELEBRATION WITH 30 FAMILIES PARTICIPATING; AND THE IVDSA HOLIDAY PARTY WITH OVER 300 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAD TWO COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS DURING THE YEAR. A BLOOD DRIVE FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF LOS ANGELES WHERE 50 DONORS PROVIDED BLOOD DONATIONS, AND HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS WHERE 10 BASKETS WERE DISTRIBUTED AT THANKSGIVING AND IN DECEMBER. ADDITIONAL DONATIONS ALLOWED THE ORGANIZATION TO ADD TOYS AND OTHER SMALL GIFTS TO THESE BASKETS.
