TO PROVIDE CAREGIVERS OF OUR NATIONS VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS WITH HOPE, A SENSE OF TOGETHERNESS, AND A FIRM FOUNDATION OF RESILIENCY. WE PROUDLY ADVOCATES TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND INCREASE EDUCATION FOR NOT ONLY OUR CAREGIVERS, BUT THE COMMUNITIES THEY LIVE IN

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS RESTORATIVE WEEKEND: PROGRAM GIVES VETERAN FAMILY CAREGIVERS TOOLS TO TEND TO THEIR MIND, BODY, AND SOUL. A SMALL GROUP OF 14-20 CAREGIVERS (SELECTED VIA APPLICATION) TO A RETREAT-LIKE ENVIRONMENT. DURING THE WEEKEND, CAREGIVERS TAKE PART IN WORKSHOPS THAT ADDRESS PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLNESS (REALISTIC GOAL SETTING/ACHIEVEMENT, STRENGTHS ASSESSMENT, STRESS MANAGEMENT, SUICIDE SAFETY PLANNING), PHYSICAL WELLNESS (YOGA AND MEDITATIVE BREATHING, EQUINE THERAPY, NATURE WALKS, SELF-CARE), AND CAREGIVER-CARE RECIPIENT RELATIONS (CONSTRUCTIVE COMMUNICATION, EMERGENCY RESPONSE, AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION).WE FOLLOW THIS PROGRAM UP WITH AN INTENSIVE TRAUMA SUPPORT GROUP FOR THOSE CAREGIVERS WHO WISH TO CONTINUE THEIR HEALING JOURNEY. CAREGIVERS SHARE THEIR STORIES AND EXPERIENCES, OFTEN DEVELOPING CLOSE BONDS WITH EACH OTHER. IN 2021 WE SUPPORTED 87 CAREGIVERS IN FIVE DIFFERENT STATES DURING SIX RESTORATIVE WEEKENDS.
