Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
RANDOM ACTS OF CHRISTMAS KINDNESS WAS AN EVENT FOUNDED BY JILLIAN ANOIA, WITH SOME HELP FROM A FEW MOMS, IN 2015. IT WAS ORGANIZED AS A DAY IN DECEMBER TO HAVE THE KIDS DO SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS IN THE COMMUNITY AND GET THE KIDS OFF OF THEIR ELECTRONIC DEVICES TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THE BELIEF IS THAT A FEW SMALL ACTS CAN HAVE AN IMPACT THAT STRETCHES FAR PAST THE KIDS REACH. THERE WAS ABOUT 35 KIDS AND PARENTS THAT WROTE THANK YOU NOTES, DELIVERED COOKIES TO THE SERVICE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY, HID DOLLARS AT THE DOLLAR STORE, CAROLED AT RETIREMENT HOMES, CANDY CANE BOMBED PARKING LOTS, LEFT QUARTERS AT THE LAUNDROMATS, AND MORE. AFTER SPREADING THE WORD THROUGH THE COMMUNITY, THE DAY IN 2016 GREW INCREDIBLY TO 400 CHILDREN, THE CHILDREN WERE BROKEN DOWN INTO 30 GROUPS, ASSIGNED CREATIVE HOLIDAY NAMES AND WE WERE ABLE TO TOUCH THE COMMUNITIES OF POTTSTOWN, EAST NORRITON, LIMERICK, PHOENIXVILLE, ROYERSFORD, SANATOGA, AUDUBON, SCHWENKSVILLE, SPRING CITY, COLLEGEVILLE, KIMBERTON, SKIPPACK, OAKS, HARLEYSVILLE, BOYERTOWN, TRAPPE AND KING OF PRUSSIA. WE HAVE ASSIGNED PEOPLE TO SPREAD CHEER TO 4 LOCAL HOSPITALS, 8 DINERS, 10 FIRE AND POLICE STATIONS, 8 DOLLAR STORES, A MINIMUM OF 20 LOCAL SHOPPING CENTERS/BIG BOX STORES PARKING LOTS, 5 MUNICIPAL PARKS TO CLEAN UP, 11 GROUPS TO LAUNDROMATS, 14 GROUPS GOING TO NURSING HOMES/RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES, 4 SHOPPING VILLAGES BEING CAROLED THROUGH AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF FOOD, PERSONAL ITEMS, PAPER PRODUCTS AND PET TOYS AND SUPPLIES BEING DONATED TO FOOD BANKS AND PET SHELTERS. THE REACH NEEDED TO GO FARTHER IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO REACH MORE PEOPLE IN NEED AND ALSO NOT ONLY AT THE HOLIDAY TIME. JILL IS THE VISIONARY AND DID IT YET AGAIN AND THERE WAS OVER 700 CHILDREN TO SEND OUT DOING GOOD DEEDS IN DECEMBER OF 2017. THE ORGANIZATION CHANGED ITS NAME TO SIMPLY POSITIVE KIDS DUE TO LARGE NUMBER OF FOLLOWERS AND THE SHEAR INTEREST IN DOING GOOD DEEDS NOT ONLY AT THE HOLIDAY TIMES BUT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. JILL'S HOPE WAS THAT THIS WOULD BE A LITTLE LEGACY FOR THE CHILDREN TO LEAVE BEHIND. COVID AFFECTED US VERY MUCH AND WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO AS MUCH AS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED BUT LAST YEAR WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE THANKSGIVING MEALS TO 20 LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED. COLLECT THE FOOD AND THE YOUTH PUTS TOGETHER BASKETS, THAT THEY HAVE DECORATED, AND ALONG WITH TEEN AND PARENTAL ADVISEMENT, THE BASKETS GET DELIVERED TO THE FAMILIES IN NEED. WE ALSO WORKED WITH A LOCAL WOMEN'S SHELTER AND WERE ABLE TO HAVE KIDS SHOP FOR GIFTS FOR THE CHILDREN AT THE SHELTER AND PROVIDE THE WRAPPING PAPER TO THE MOMS TO WRAP THE GIFTS FOR THE CHILDREN IN THE SHELTER. WE HOPE TO GET BACK TO NORMAL VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES.
