THE BOARD MATCHING PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM IS FOUNDED IN THE VALUES THAT SUPPORT OUR MISSION TO CREATE A MORE RACIALLY DIVERSE, EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE NONPROFIT BOARD SECTOR. IT PROVIDSE PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR NONPROFIT BOARDS AND BOARD PROSPECTS THAT FOCUS ON MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS AND FOCUSES ON AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIP BUILDING STRATEGIES. TNP IS CAPTURING RICH DATA THROUGH THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND HAS SEEN THAT NONPROFITS THAT HAVE BEEN MATCHED BEFORE ARE RETURNING FOR MORE MATCHES, AS WELL THAT BOARD PROSPECTS OF COLOR ARE OPTING TO BE PLACED ON MORE THAN ONE NONPROFIT BOARD. IN 2022, 74% OF BOARD PROSPECT APPLICANTS WERE PLACED ON NONPROFIT BOARDS AND AT THE END OF THAT YEAR WE HAD A TOTAL OF 38 BOARD PLACEMENTS ON 30 NONPROFIT BOARDS.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE D&I PLANNING AND INTRODUCTION TO INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP.
THE EQUITY WORKSHOP SERIES: THESE WORKSHOPS PROVIDE DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION (DEI) TRAINING AND PROGRAMMING IN ORDER TO HELP BOARD PROSPECTS AND MEMBERS OF COLOR, AND ALLIES, NAVIGATE THROUGH NONPROFIT BOARDS. THEY INCLUDE: TAKE THE LEAD, INTRO TO INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP, THE EQUITY CHAIR PART 1, AND THE EQUITY CHAIR PART 2. TNP HAS INCREASED ITS PROGRAMMING THROUGH THESE WORKSHOPS BY OFFERING THEM AT NONPROFIT BOARD RETREATS, PUBLICLY AND THROUGH ITS CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM WHICH HAS STRENGTHENED SPONSORSHIP PARTNERSHIPS INCLUSIVE OF H-E-B, INDEED, CAPMETRO, JPMORGAN CHASE AND MORE. AS OF 2022 TNP HAS HELD 27 WORKSHOPS AND HAD OVER 323 PARTICIPANTS.

INCLUSION ASSESSMENTS ARE A CRITICAL TOOL FOR ORGANIZATIONS PREPARING FOR THEIR JOURNEY TOWARDS DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION. IN 2022, WE WORKED WITH TWO NONPROFITS ON THIS PROGRAM AND BEGAN THE LAUNCH OF TWO NEW COHORTS OF NONPROFITS THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH AUSTIN OUTSIDE AND JPMORGAN CHASE. IN RETURN THIS WILL CREATE A COLLECTIVE IMPACT FOR OUR MISSION IN 2023 AND A STRONG REVENUE STREAM.
