THE GREENSBORO LITERARY ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AN APPRECIATION OF CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING LITERATURE BY BRINGING AUTHORS TO GUILFORD COUNTY, NC AS A CELEBRATION OF READING, WRITING AND THE SPOKEN WORD. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING WILL CULMINATE IN AN ANNUAL MULTI-DAY FESTIVAL BRINGING OVER FIFTY AUTHORS OVER A WEEKEND. THIS WILL INCLUDE AN ARRAY OF PROGRAMS GEARED TO ALL AGE LEVELS. A SIGNIFICANT FACET OF THE YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING WILL ALSO BE TO BRING AUTHORS TO GUILFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS TO MEET WITH STUDENTS.
